A NEW bus route from Pickering to Cornell via the Seaton Community

I suggest DRT operate a new route (or extend the 112) from Pickering to Cornell Bus Terminal in the City of Markham, via the Seaton Community. This route will have serval benefits: 1. Connect the new Seaton Community to jobs and opportunities in Durham and York Region. 2. Allow for direct inter-city travel between the City of Pickering and Markham, increasing the reach of public transit, and significantly increasing the number of job opportunities accessible within comfortable commute time via public transit. The Seaton Community is growing rapidly with new housing built along Taunton Rd and Whites Rd. Also, there are multiple industrial developments currently underway along Highway 7 in Seaton. A bus connecting Seaton to Cornell Bus Terminal in Markham and Pickering Pkwy Terminal in the City of Pickering will provide transit coverage for residents and employees of Seaton. The current options for travelling from Pickering to Markham are very limited and time-consuming, such as taking multiple slow buses through Pickering, Toronto, and Markham, taking the GO Train via Toronto Union Station, or accessing the route 56 GO bus via Oshawa. A direct bus route between Pickering and Markham will allow for fast and convenient trips between the two municipalities.

With the one fare program and cross border TTC service integration, extend all 900 Pulse bus to Scarborough Centre station

With that route extended to Scarborough centre station, it would attract more Durham region transit riders and seamless connections to TTC buses including the express bus to Kennedy station and access to Scarborough Town Centre eliminating the need to transfer buses at Ellesmere and Military Trail.
