The Regional Municipality of Durham is inviting young residents to take part in its annualWater Report Cover Drawing Challenge!Durham residents aged 18 and under are encouraged to become “Water Warriors” by creating artwork that shows how they help protect water in their everyday lives.
Participants are asked to draw or paint a picture showcasing actions that help conserve and protect water, such as saving water at home or school, protecting rivers, lakes and groundwater, and teaching others about why water is important.
Your creation may be featured on our website or in Regional Water reports!
By sharing images, you are giving consent to the Region of Durham to use your drawing in any future promotions and materials.
Challenge rules:
Must be a Region of Durham resident and 18 years of age or under.
Draw or paint a picture (any medium is acceptable including pencils, paint or crayons) of what water means to you and your family on a plain sheet of white paper.
Please include your name and what municipality you live in with submission. Permission from parents/guardian is required to enter.
Drawing art challenge ends Sunday, February 15 at midnight. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Applicants who require special assistance to participate in this opportunity are encouraged to contact WaterChallenge@durham.ca or call 289-830-6718 at least one week before the application deadline to allow Durham Region to accommodate your needs.
