Now accepting applications for the Building Safer Communities Grant Program

The Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund supports the development of community-based violence prevention and intervention initiatives. This program will address community violence and youth justice involvement by supporting sector resilience, bridging service gaps, and encouraging resident engagement and leadership development. 

Applications are now open - the deadline to apply is August 22, 2025.

Indigenous Cultural Safety Training

The Region of Durham's Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Secretariat is pleased to offer an in-person Indigenous Cultural Safety Training course to improve the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals and child and youth workers. This training is made available in partnership with Central East Regional Indigenous Cancer Program, Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiyag and Lakeridge Health.
