Big Changes
On October 14, 2020, I started a new job in the planning field. It was a field of study that I was interested in for many years. It was a huge change meaning that I was going to be living on my own. The pandemic did not stop me from starting a new job.
As time went on, I learned to become independent and patient with others. I also learned how to become flexible with changes in plans and deadlines. Patience is important during the pandemic because we were standing in line to get into the grocery store. I became more flexible with changes because plans can change at the last minute.
Overall, despite the major changes that I have experienced, I kept optimistic about my life. The stories on the news about the rising cases and deaths may be upsetting to me. To stay positive, I thought about happy things and kept healthy. I went for walks outside daily and learned new hobbies such as cooking. This pandemic did not stop me from moving on with my life. I now live on my own and I am advancing my career.
