This is a project being led by the Region of Durham through the Affordable Housing Development and Renewal Division. Bousfields Inc. (www.bousfields.ca) led the initial community engagement work for Christine Crescent and Malaga Road. Going forward, community engagement will be undertaken by the Region in close collaboration with each of the local area municipalities.

There is an urgent need to invest in more affordable housing to respond to the needs of our communities. These projects will increase affordable housing supply, improve building design, modernize units and widen tenant mix. These projects are an important part of increasing affordable housing options and improving our communities.
