Diamond of Durham

This is the Diamond of Durham - The Thomas Foster Memorial in Uxbridge Ontario built in 1936 for $250,000 of Byzantine architecture. The acoustics are the "science of sound" and there is a concert every Friday night May to Sept with admission a donation at the door so all levels of income can attend as often as they like. The Foster entertains many different ethnic groups and the diversity of Durham Region is to be celebrated. Also our Jazz/Blues concert in October has the best in Jazz/Blues. I first visited this amazing hidden jewel of Durham last summer - the musicians were warming up for their evening concert inside the building. Thank you so much for sharing this picture of the Thomas Foster Memorial! A gem that must be seen first-hand to be truly appreciated.
