Thank you to residents who took the time to fill out the Region’s short survey on Bill 100, Better Regional Governance Act.
The public survey is now closed. Results will be summarized and provided to Regional Council and shared with the Province.

Bill 100, Better Regional Governance Act, 2026, received Royal Assent on May 7, 2026.
The survey will remain open until May 18. Survey results will be shared with Regional Council and the Province to ensure they receive a record of Durham residents’ feedback.
Durham Regional Council wants to hear from you
Durham Regional Council is seeking feedback from residents on Bill 100, Better Regional Governance Act, 2026, including whether residents should have the opportunity to elect the Regional Chair.
After a motion passed at the Regional Council meeting on April 29, 2026, this short survey is being used to collect public feedback on Bill 100. The results will be summarized and shared with Regional Council in a public Council Information Package and then forwarded to the Province of Ontario.
