Flags at all Regional facilities have been lowered to half-mast in recognition of Sergeant Brandon Malcolm of the Ontario Provincial Police, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in Cobourg on Monday (April 27).

The Region of Durham joins police services and communities across Ontario in mourning this loss. Our thoughts are with Sergeant Malcolm’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.

In honour of his service and sacrifice, flags will remain at half-mast until the day of his memorial service.
